Three reasons: the company has large exposure to the market for smoking. It also has large exposure to NY residential real estate market, which holds up better than others. And it yields more than 8%

Long-term play on big tobacco conglomerate. Hopefully the dividend payout on top of natural growth will play out well. A slide since September seems to make this a good time to buy.

Their MSA exemption is worth $160M per year. If they do NOTHING they will should continue to make big profits. Downside is that Icahn and LeBow are raping the company for all it's worth!
