+ Watch VICR
on My Watchlist
The Company designs, develops, manufactures and markets modular power components and complete power systems based upon a portfolio of patented technologies.
Vicor has developed a better "mouse trap" with regards to power conversion technology. Consequently, their new products have unmatched power density and efficiency. Their products are smaller, cooler and more efficient than anything else on the market. Vicor is a small company whose products address a very large market. As their components get designed into more and more products, sales and profit growth should accelerate.
Stock is way overpriced at $11. Analysts have been revising earnings estimates down, company has shown little ability to expand revenue, and this is an area of technology that changes fast. Expect more lackluster sales for at least the next six months and watch for this stock to drift under $8 within that time.
