This is another great Brazilian telecom pick. Especially when hedged against Brasil Telecom and Oi, because while de Silva may want to create a Brazilian rival to Telefonica, Viva can still produce in mobile markets with Telefonica, while the other two (Combined) could play the other side. My other reason is that unlike volatile and young Chinese and Indian markets, Vivo has establishment backing and is less susceptible to takeover. Vivo is also at a great price right now for being so dominant.
