I have owned Vertex Pharmaceuticals for a while now and I am happy with my returns. But now the price has dropped so low that I just bought more, and why not add to CAPS? The main revenue driver should be telaprevir for hepatits C virus. I know it's not "proven" yet, but there is so much anecdotal evidence that I have heard that I'm banking on full FDA approval. If it is not approved by the FDA, the stock will assuredly go down, but I don't think the cost of an approved telaprevir is factored into the current price. There is still a huge upside at the current stock price. And then there are other compounds that are still in the works, even though I don't think that I am up on all the details... The bottom line is that I think the odds of telaprevir approval are more than the guy I just bought stock from.

I agree. My hope is that when they look at interim data from phase II clinical studies during the 2nd quarter, the results are so compelling they get fast tracked at the FDA. To the best of my knowledge everyone else is at least 2-4 years behind in the development process.
