Vonage will rewire your home with fiber optics only if you allow them to rip out your copper cable, for the obvious reason of locking the customer into their service as no other provider supports fiber optics. Homeoners are not hoppy though, with Verizon,s customer service, or installers. THey are becomming more and more frustrated, as demonstrated in internet forums for example. First Verizon said they invented VOIP, now Fiber Optic Technology? What willl they say they invented next? THe internet? Voerizon is headed for a hard fall.

I do not agree with you.For one thing, when I had FiOS installed, their installer was great. He came when the company said he would (rare in customer service these days), and he did not leave until everything was working, and by that I mean that I could log into their server, test the transmission rate, and so on -- with e-mail and UseNet working as well. It is true their UseNet server is kind of slow, but it is acceptable. They gave me a special customer support telephone number if I had any problems. Well, I did not have any problems. But I called it anyway just to see what would happen, and I got a live human being, probably in the northeast USA, who answered a few questions I made up. I have only telephone and Internet with them (I have no TV). But a friend of mine got telephone and Internet from them when it was first offered around here, and when TV became available, she signed up for that too. She says she gets more channels than the Comcast cable, and it costs less.

First of all, you can't type or spell. Secondly, I believe that you might want to look at Vonage's profits, they have none. They are bleeding red ink, and chances are, they will go under. Verizon has a superior network, the fiber to premise is their concept alone, the FIOs is unregulated, and by the way, they just bought Alltel. Underperform? PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ummm, I think you meant to say "Verizon" rather than "Vonage" in your opening sentence. I have Vonage and know whereof I speak.
