Hate is a strong word, and I hate VZ for being the sneaky people they are. Have a plan, and was told I could change it at any time. So I took more minutes than I needed to be on the safe side. Tried to change the plan, and was told i could but had to renew 1 year contract. Told them to stuff it and will be going with AT&T.

Be advised if you get into bed with VZ wireless, you'll probably end up with the crabs.

Dishonest people. Dishonest company. Stock will fail as cheaters never prosper.

This is the top bear pitch? Take a look at this guy's track record before you take his advice. Verizon is a very strong company. Just because Plowboy hates them, that doesn't mean they're not going to keep making money.

I agree that he is letting his emotions get in the way. I don't profess to be any good at all of this but it does show in his score.

funny as at&t charges more, but yet you're willing to switch to them because vz wanted you to renew a contract...that's simple business, something that your score shows you don't understand

Actually, their ability to rip people like you off is more than enough reason for me to buy VZ.

I've never had a problem with Verizon. I'm very happy with their service. I took the 900 minute/mo. plan, and realized that with my work schedule, only about 100 were actually counting against my minutes. I went in and had it changed to 450 with no problem whatsoever. They also suggested I switch to the unlimited data plan as it would cut the cost of my data usage by more than half. :) Just sayin'.... That's no reason not to invest in a strong company.

Just joined MF and not sure what this score thing is all about but anyway, regarding this bear pitch for Verizon..Every company has fine-print. If you can find a contract to sign for a wireless company thats less than 5 pages long..let me know. Like anything else, you need to find someone to "help you", and not "sell you". But that can be tough because..thats their job.And when you sign with AT&T, enjoy speaking with India, the Philippines and Mexcio City when you call AT&T regarding your issues. It takes me an average of 5 calls per problem, and each call takes about 45 minutes. I'm extracting AT&T from my life completely (landline & dsl) and am totally satisfied with Verizon for wireless.

I'm not a big fan of their customer service, but I've been with them for many years as they are the best show in town.
And I am holding this one for the dividend.

This is a customer service complaint by someone at the end of his contract, not a bear pitch. C'mon MF.

If this is the best reason to dump VZ then I feel pretty good about adding another 200 shares. This guy knows nothing about the business or the company and I hope he did go to another provider. I'm sure Verizon will be better of having him with the competition. He has a lot to learn about business and this is not the way to learn. I'll be more than happy to take the 6.6% dividend and let the stock ride until the market realizes what a gem we have here.

Remember Verizon is a bigger company than just Verizon wireless. They operate one of the larger tier-1 broadband networks in the US. They are currently the only telecommunications company offering fiber for the last mile. While their wireless division has the most potential for growth, they will still make significant money from their business division and FiOS
