Having been a Verizon employee for 12 years I was able to watch the internal workings of this telecom behemoth from the inside during it's less than spectacular run from 1995-2005. It was a tired company without any air in its sails. With the recent entrance into the cable tv market, with a superior technology and infrastructure that will last 30-40 years, as opposed to 10-15 for current cable operators and AT&T's venture, I see the vast outlay of capital over the past 36 months as a huge plus for Verizon stock in the near and distant future.
