I watched this stock for a while and never bought... shame on me. They've invested a TON into infrastructure and I expect their FIOS service to really make a gigantic dent into Comcast and other cable providers.

Continued success of VZW and emerging FiOS TV strategy - that's on top of FiOS internet/data to the home - BIG bandwidth -as well as strength in large business and government will propel VZ forward. Lots of cash-flow here.

The merit of VZ's investment in fiber is being confirmed. Among biggest benefits are dramatically lower costs of maintaining fiber vs. copper. T is already beginning to question its decision to try to do broadband and TV on the cheap.

Fios Fios Fios........
This product will transform VZ as a content provider.
Additionally VZ is going to suck it up and deploy more ROADM (reconfigurable optical add-drop multiplexors) which will allow faster switching of video.

A lot of people on here don't seem to understand that Verizon Wireless is just one arm of this three-headed telco giant. Verizon Telecom, Verizon Business, and Verizon Wireless have one thing in common besides their names; each has built out the best...

Verizon is a good bet. With the expansion of the FIOS system, and now being able to offer phone, internet, and tv, the value of the stock will grow. With the new government contract award (with Quest, and AT&T), will be a blow to Sprint/Nextel. Ve...

Bandwidth for telecom companies is like gasoline for cars; eventually they have to fill up. With Fios, they're doing it sooner rather than later. Should give them a greater advantage down the road.
