Whole Foods has two big things going for it-- a well known brand and customers who are willing to pay more for quality. They're a great company, well managed and respected. However, at a P/E of 47, you need to get lucky and stay lucky to be worth th...

Fabulously well run by a highly competent management team. Great stores that are always bristling with customers. Folks in towns where there are no Wholefoods begging for the company to build one in their area. This is no more a grocery store chai...

Okay, I work here. I'm biased. But really, it IS a great company, we DO know what we're doing and the stores I go to are always packed. Will it continue to have the over 30% growth that it's had the last 3 years? Probably not, but for a long term...

I'm in. Backing out expansion capex, I put this firm's "maintenance" free cash flow at about $340M. Weighed against about $5.6B in enterprise value, it's now trading for a slight discount to projected growth -- an EV of 16x FCF. <...>

Whole Foods is a great franchise with tremendous unexplored potential. I see most of their competition falling by the wayside as consumers gravitate to the quality found in these stores. As more and more people become concerned with the practices o...
