this should be going lower as the need for wafer diminishes

except for more and more devices being created...smaller CMOS technology means lower power usage which equates to less heat, which means faster devices. Microcontrollers are appearing in more and more devices. Analog circuits are being replaced by CMOS technology, and wafer will need to come from somewhere.
