Seriously... who drives RVs these days. And who can afford to with these oil prices. Why this bounced back is beyond me. This one is going down.

RV travel is less expensive compared to a car with the needs for hotels and restaurants. Plus you have all the comforts of home while touring. And, you have the ultimate in privacy. The Winnebago Rialta gets 18 mpg with gas. (Discontinued in 05 but it might be making a return.) What you spend totally on gas and food by traveling from the crowded east, to the Dakota's Mt. Rushmore by RV equals 2 days of family travel to the same place with a Prius. And with a family you are crowded, no bathrooms, no lounge for a stretch etc. . At $4 gas the only way left to take a family trip is with your own RV. The only people that can't understand the appeal of RV traveling...just never did it. Holiday Inn hates Winnebago
