The company with "Everyday low prices" is selling for an everyday low price. The world's best retailer has only scratched the surface of what it can do internationally. I strongly believe the business model will work world wide because everywhere in the world people appreciate buying an item for less. It's scary to think, but Wal-mart still has a lot of growth left in it (right now they sell only 3% of the world retail goods, that's 97% left to conquer!). Their inventory management and logistics are the best in the world, and that will allow Wal-mart to expand worldwide and build on its economies of scale in a way that no other company can. I'm a buyer here for sure! I expect 10% annual returns over the next 5-10 years.

I don't I think so becsaue quality is also very important in retailing. Something Wal-Mart lacks horribly. Wait till market preferences change and people want quality. Besides people were saying the same thing about K-mart 20 years ago; didn't work. In fact I know that a lot of Wal-Mart's foreign investments haven't worked-like in Germany. That is because Germany is focused on quality and that is their retail market trend. However one company you might consider looking at is wal-greens haha *jokes* Walgeen's. If you haven't noticed there is a Walgreen's on every street and I think they are poised in are market direction to be the NEXT Wal-Mart. Why? This is because I don't think the price of gas will go down it will be 8-10 bucks a gallon soon I grantee it. This will mean that people will be planning their shopping a lot more ahead of time. In other words the government might ration gas so you only get so much a week to use. People will then have two choices stock up or be convienient; Note: that a lot of Walgreen's prices are low, I have seen T-Shirts there for 3$. Now your at home and since most towns only have two Wal-marts your in the middle of town. You suddenly think to yourself dang I really need to get my Girl Friend a box of chocolates, or at least a candy bar. I also need some whip cream too for my cake and makeup. I could just go to Wal-Mart here in a few days after I get some gas but............hmmm oh Walgreen's is just down the street.
