At some point soon (if it isn't already) Wal-Mart will have saturated the US market and growth will slow. As a shopper, I prefer Target and I think that may well be a better long-term stock; however, in the short-term, Wal-Mart holds a dominate market position, should be helped by the pending minimum wage increase (as it's shoppers will have more money to spend) and is very attracively priced versus its peers.

well, excuse for my bad english, I'm italian than like all italians I spike and write a very orror english.
I think that wal mart will be the best retailer in the world for the next 20 years. Than I take it.
Yes the us market is saturated, but wal mart will gain every time, because when she go to china to buy things ,every year pretend that prices are lower and she obtain it. The margin in USA will increase.
But the very treasury in wal mart are emerging markets. She buyed a chain of 90 supermarkets in china, and in china the salary in growing too fast, and the middle class is about 600.000 people=U.S EU!!!!
Now wal mart has sales like about 3% of us gdp, like 20% of italian gdp, 1,5 milions of workers
in 2015 where she will arrive??? heheheheh
wal mart is one of the best big cap for long term investiments....
Warren Buffet now this, than put in very much money....
bye bye friends
