This company has had its heyday, plus I find their business practices to be out of date and purely profit driven. Nothing wrong with making profit, but there's a better way to go about it without screwing with workers' rights.

WMT (at least in some areas of PA) is currently combining departments and overworking their employees well beyond normal job stress levels. That tells me they're cutting corners to improve the bottom line. Also, female employees want to bring class action for sex discrimination. I'm staying away from this stock.

Their business practices are purely profit driven? Screwing worker's rights? Huh? What in the heck are you babbling about? It's a private business and IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE PROFIT DRIVEN! It's not a charity and this is not some socialist utopia. If someone doesn't like the employment conditions at WalMart, they are free to leave and work elsewhere. No one is holding a gun to their head and certainly no one is entitled to a job. Most of the people that I know who work at WalMart are retired or have minimal or little education. Don't see too many Ph.D.'s working at WalMart. When I add WalMart to my portfolio, I absolutely expect and demand that they make as much profit as possible.

I agree. Operate within the law as to labor practices, otherwise, if you don't like the way WalMart treats you as an employee, go work at some other menial job. It's not about "workers' rights," whatever commie thing that is, it's about running a business and making a profit. Period, end of discussions, over and out.

Let me see if I got this straight....Walmart wants to hire persons that are physically able to do what they need done.
That usually means "real men" or girls that physically are capable of heavy type work....
but the 'girly girls' want a union that will support them in getting "hired to do less, and get paid more"....
America can no longer afford to "pay more wages, for less work"
Walmart is trying to hire who they "need" to do the work...if you cant cut it, QUIT!!!!!!.
But the girls want to get equal pay for equal work (but not do "all" the work).....and don't care about what it takes to make the company exist.....
they only want the money in their pockets....shame on them.
Lets go 'Hostess'....Lets go Union
Lets go USSA (union socialist suckers of America)
