This giant is hard to ignore, and its stock has been somewhat stagnant for a long time. With a P/E in the mid-teens, profit margins rising, and annual revenues around a third of a trillion dollars, I'm intrigued.

- due to some scandals currently one of the most unloved US companies
- nevetheless famous for efficient execution (well, fully botched Germany adventure, i shopefully the only exception ...)

Walmart has reached its zenith and will become less and less competitive as other retailers catch on to their successful logistics-driven business model. Expect their costs to go up as they give more to employees or are forced to do so by the Feds.

After all the B.S. Walmart does retailing the best. The introduction of groceries to drive more trafic throught the stores is a long term winner. Under saved Baby Boomers will learn to streach thier dollars. Wal Mart will help.

Walmart is going through what phillip morris was in the late 90's, hated by the American public, yet slowly taking over the world. They just aquired shop-mart in China, and nobody seems to care.
