Looking at the price per barrell and the price per gallon I know this company is hurting. This is what the invisible hand is all about, profits will improve.

TD wtf is going on with the refiners? I know the oil prices and crack spreads and all that, but I can't see why WNR has a p/e at 4. Just seems insane to me. Insane enough to consider a real-life position.

I am with you on that, had to see how this can continue.

My sell WEL position and put proceeds in WNR.

And now I'm completely thrown off. WNR from 50 -> 8? I know crack spreads must be hurting and they reported a loss but it seems as though the Market is pricing in BK at this point. Is it really that bad out there? I mean give me a break is WNR really worth the same as, say, HOV? (which has similar market cap and share price)

I am not sure what is going on. I know the crack spread is killing refiners, but still there are huge barriers to entry in this market. We should consult with GTRinvestor and have him review the book value. Heck, I may go to the library and get the Value-Line, this seems crazy.
