Movement of car makers towards MP3 player integration and music servers on their car audio system as an option. Who needs radio when they have all the music they need on a hard drive.Very short current ratio. Will need infusions of capital that'll dillute shareholder value with time.Aging satallites will need to be serviced. Cost of servicing these satalites probably costs more than their current cash flows.

I have an iPod and input in my stereo, but I need satellite radio. It is not all about music. I cannot get live news coverage from Fox or CNN from an iPod. The only place to get 24 hour coverage is on XMSR channel 130 P.O.T.U.S. And XMSR is the epitome of what free speech is about. I like listening to uncensored music, news, comedy, and talk.I am prior military and we have satellites that have been in service for decades. No one flies 26,000 thousand miles into space every week or month to make repairs. They are designed to be maintenance free and with redundancy. They are basically repeaters and that is it.The company's management of capital is a whole other issue along with the dilution of shareholder value. This is why CEO's should not make millions when the company has not made a dime.

Correct .... The use and appreciation for MP3 is directly proportional to ones age. Have a wife, kids, real job and expecting to make downloads into an MP3 in your "spare" time.... Highly unlikely.MP3 did take the wind out of satrad sales as it was a new and exciting technology....but now it's just another time-money sucking appendage whereas Satrad is easy, and a value.Satrad will live, but XM won't without a merger. Panero put that plane into a death dive before he cashed out his unearned millions. Thank you BOD of XMSR ... you lazy yes men.
