I believe in satellite radio, but not the way XM is going about it. The company keeps signing up new subscribers, but the growth rate is bound to slow down once people begin to realize that XM is increasingly offering what you can already get on terrestrial radio for free. It's moving away from niche programming and more toward multiple variations on mainstream playlists. This company is already having enough trouble making money; things will only get worse if it turns itself into a pay version of Clear Channel.

Agreed that content is a key differentiator for XM and Sirius. They do have a lot of mainstream stations, but their 100 channels provide depth and variety that the 10 channels you can get clearly on terrestrial radio just can't compete with.I'm an XM subscriber and appreciate that they have a station for each decade, techno channels, latin channels, a seventies dance channel, multiple sports channels, and a european pop channel. Same goes for Sirius.
