For decades this stock has outperformed almost any other stock in the universe. It is clearly the #1 company/stock in its industry with reserves growing every year. It is totally dedicated to shareholder value. The commodities it deals in are not '...

This pick is definitely long term. Oil companies have fluctuated all over the place but if you look at any oil company's price in the last five years, it's pretty hard to ignore the overall trend...up, up, and up. That's not to say there couldn't b...

P/E, P/E, P/E. Even with a substantial drop in profits, if XOM got to a more reasonable historical P/E you could see a good move. Of course outperforming the S&P when you're a big chunk of it isn't easy but I think the potential is there, especiall...

Like JNJ, XOM is one of those companies that "make the world go around." No matter what happens, you can count on us good and patriotic Americans to do our civic duty and drive vehicles that outsize small apartments. (LUXURY, LUXURY, LUXURY!!!)

Exxon is an excellent long term investment. XOM is the default pick for institutional investors when looking at oil stocks. If you expect oil to outperform the market (which I do) then XOM should soar as the big boys buy more. The recent price run up...

ExxonMobile has had a big runup, but consumers are sick of 3.00/gal gasoline. I think the push for hybrids and other fuel efficient vehicles has frightened the fuel corps, and I look for them to lower prices, and thus profits in the near term.

With the new political atmosphere, this reverse Robin Hood is going to feel some pain in the near future. Outrageous profits are going to be a thing of the past. Big investors will be looking for greener pastures. --plus there will be a noticeable d...

No one can bring online an oil field like Exxon. They have excellent project management skills. They come in on time and under budget. Excellent discipline in cost controls. With oil and gas prices firming up, this company will do quite well.

Obviously, profits have been exceptional of late. The company has grown share price about 14% per year since I bought in 2001. Good dividend on a growing stalwart. I don't see a reason to ever sell.

I love oil. We can all count on oil and gas companies to suck every last cent out of a consumer's pocket... at least until the oil runs out. Expect above-average gains from oil and gas companies fro the next 5-7 years... that's when people should rea...
