Carl Icahn hates me and thats why he wated til after I made my underperform pick to announce that he purchased 50 million shares and was going into a proxy battle with the clowns running Yahoo. Yahoo is a crappy stock. A couple of years ago when I owned it I regretted every minute of it cause all it did was go down. They kicked out the old CEO, one of the founders took that mantle back over... and the board still sucked and the stock was still crap. It was a $19 stock before Microsoft made it's suprise bid. After the bid was retracted I figured it was a sure thing to head back where it belonged in the $19-$20 range. Nope! Carl Ichan learned of my intention to make easy CAPS points and set into motion his nefarious plan to screw me. Yahoo isn't worth $33 a share it isn't even worth the $31 Microsoft orginally offered. The fact that the board didn't take the offer proves they are either too greedy, didn't want to loose their jobs, are morons, or all of the above. Carl in his letter to Yahoo mentioned that he filed a note with the SEC to aquire another $2.5 billion worth of Yahoo shares of stock. If Icahn follows through with the plan of fighting for the board that $2.5billion and money from Hedge Fund managers who smell blood will keep the stock afloat at the current levels for the short term at least.Ultimately it all comes down to microsoft though. If they still want the company the stock most likely goes back to $31ish, if they really have walked away for good it heads back to where it belongs in the $20 region. Unfortunately microsoft will probably be best served by holding it's cards close and letting Carl bloody up yahoo before popping back on the scene with a decision.I wouldn't touch this stock with real money right now. It's a crap shoot. Figure you got about 20%ish of up or downside either way depending on if you can guess correctly on what ye olde Mr. Softy is going to do.

Hello Schmacko,Comspiracy theories!!! Obviously Carl Icahn is on Micro Soft side. Why else is he aqcuiring $2.5 b of shares and proxy bid for a new board of directors.I've seen this before a woman named Merideth Johnson from the Valley suddenly appeared in Archamax operations and developement centre in Seattle, Washington, USA. She got promoted to Operations Manager over the present head of the department Tom Saunders and a whole slew of potentially better candidates. Later on she got the job not because she was any better but because she saved the merger between Archamax and Connelly Brothers. Finally, instead of ruining the story line the movie is, "Disclosure". Starring Michael Douglas, Demi Moore, Donald Sutherland, and etc. c1994 Warner Bros. Inc.From Valunvesthere.
