There are many problems with this company. Their recent issues with production are worrisome. I am also concern with the new environmental initiatives by the Chinese gov't which might hamper production and performance. I know many people are bullish on Chinese energy companies because of need, but I am very concerned about coal production in China vs. Other forms of energy.

Poliyum, I read your comment about Yazhou Coal (YZC)
Not too long ago it was lingering in the $60 dollar range.
Everyone was down on it. It is High 80's today 7/6/2007
Chinese Government will do as they please to keep the
heavy industry rolling there. Don't worry about pollution
it is not a priority of the Govt. I predict YZC will be over
$100 here shortly. Chuyita

YZC is a good investment as it is the numbe two largest coal producer in China. China is focused in building more power plants to produce more electricity. Environment is secondary to economic growth. YZC will continue to appreciate as this is China's national policy. China is planning to build 20 nuclear plants but they will need every one of this coal powered plant working day and night...

Coal is one of China's few natural energy resources and I think it will be utilized to the fullest, even if only via clean coal technology. Once the global economy turns and Oil is north of $100, I think you will see more demand for all alternatives, including coal.
