As a Realtor, I know how popular the service is that Zillow offers. I'm in AZ and I know there are no Realtor openings with Zillow in my areas. From what I have heard from Zillow's CEO say in a recent interview they have huge room to grow with the Realtor subscription products in other locations in the US. Zillow also has #1 mindshare among consumers when it comes to researching their property.

Does Zillow have real estate agents?? If that's the case, in my mind, they have far more potential than I think most people imagine.

Zillow does not have their own Real Estate agents like Redfin.com. What they do have is Realtor's who pay $400-$500 a month to be "featured agents" within a certain zip code. So, for each agent they have signed up they will receive between $5,000-$7,000 a year. If you want two zip codes it will cost you double, etc... For a Realtor it makes a ton of sense because you will receive 10-20 emails/calls a month from potential home buyers. If you represent one buyer at a $200,000 purchase price and make a 3% commission that's $6,000. Do that 5-6 times throughout the year and it's a great marketing tool.

With the amount of traffic Zillow gets to their website agents are fighting for the spots. Zillow has not pursued every area as hard but that's a big push for them from here on out from what I have read from their CEO.

More revenue is coming their way!

Zillow has the mindshare among most consumers I run into. Rarely ever does a buyer or seller client of mine reference any other website that Zillow. "Zestimates" are a huge reason why.

There is so much buyer and seller traffic online (and growing every day)... I think there is enough to go around. I know of agents that pay to be featured agents on both websites.

Good idea, of a company, but info is not 100% correct- for its listings. Everyone is an "Agent" because they can use the internet! Believe you me, over-priced!!!

Oh, and RedFin, they were a joke.. I met an agent that worked as a bank assistant during the day, that would ONLY show a listing, not letting us look through the unit- for issues. When you need to take the next step she refered my client to another agent who worked the numbers. How many people are in on this deal?
I would never want to have a bunch of separate people to do 1 person's job. Needless to say a REAL AGENT WAS PROCURED!!
