Unless I see a new product Apple is overvalued. My thinking is underperform to the market over the next 6 mths.

This met a high level screen to indicate a sell and strong underperform against its peers (other tickers in its industry). My 1st version of this spreadsheet devles deep into the company's balance sheet and recent income statements, combined with other relevant price data for the company including insider/institutional holdings, short interest, debt levels, etc.
I'm testing capabilities of this 1st version of my automated, valuation spreadsheet matched with my personal criteria and see how it holds up.

Steve Jobs does not care about Apple's shareholders or his employees and is not good for the company. Although I will be buying back in May (A month before the next IPhone).

Apple CEO doesn't care about the shareholders. It doesn't pay a dividend so there is nothing to entice a shareholder to buy. It will continue to profit greatly, but I can think of several other stocks that I would rather own as an individual shareholder.

The stock is overvalued. The long-tail effect of companies that are going to eat away at the underbelly will continue to grow. Large companies tact slowly, and Apple is moving into that realm. I would like them under $150. But won't touch them anywhere near the current price of $202

Google's Android operating system for phones means iphone is no longer the coolest phone around. The new lines of phones do more, and likely will cost less.

This is my opinion of Apple Products as a business owner:

My business runs on a Mac tower, MacBooks and the iPhone. The best thing one can do for a business or for personal use, is go visit the nearest Apple Store.

I plan on owning Apple stock for decades. Better than any mutual fund, ETF or IRA. Growth potential is unlimited for two simple reasons:

1. Rock solid, ass kicking products and apps. Hardware powerful, versatile and sleek, and user friendly, convenient and reliable software. Not to mention cutting edge innovation.
2. Market penetration. Apple products and branding have world-wide appeal, and market share grows exponentially (Europe, Asia, the Americas).

Every parent should purchase Apple products for their children, made by the innovators of future technology. Then put some Apple shares in the holiday stocking every year.

Apple is going to get more compition on some of its devices. but it will still fare very well just lower for some time. thats so i will be able to get a bigger bite out of the apple.

great company, great products and innovations; still, way overpriced for its sector.

don't get me wrong, they have strong sales, good products, and no debt. You would be a fool to get in at this price tho

Way overbought, due for a significant short term drop.

> price is too high with no significant upside potential
> technology company - has to keep up with the change
> over dependent on Steve Jobs - risky

They have reached their all time high but there is much uncertainty out there for the company. Lawsuit from Nokia and others pending, and I beleive the perceived demand for the I-Phone and I pods for the holiday season are being overstated.

Now that Apple products are being bought by the masses, the shortcomings will show. I have a friend who had his Time Capsule quit after 18 months. Another friend had her iMac 100% die after 2 1/2 years. They have found they are not alone. Mass complaints to come. Sell at current price.
