Following Anticitrade. Alliance Bernstein Holdings typically sells for 2 times book value. Currently available for 1.2 times book. Current dividend yield is around 7%. Dividends consistently grow despite the fact that this company pays out 100% of profits. The nature of the business makes capital reinvestment unnecessary.

Best risk/reward stock i can find right now. Heavily beaten down like the banks but no credit risk. Highly leveraged to Market so any rally will be reflected in earnigns and stock price.
Nice and transparent balance sheet and pays all earnings out to unit holders. I like the fact that paying out all earnings stops management from doing anything silly, like dodgey aquisitions and over priced buy backs.
Global player so some protection if US Dollar tanks in the future.
Stock went from $1 to $90 from 1988-2008 at the same time paying out everything it earned. If you re-invested that cash i seriously think AB would have been one of the top stocks in that period.
Currently $17 and could decline a bit more, if so i will increase my stake. Expected to earn about $1.65-1.85 this year so around 10% payout. Re-invest that and wait for the rally.
MF were telling people to buy this stock at $70, they published an article yesterday telling people to sell it! Seems the wrong way around to me, buy it now and over the next 6 months and ride this sucker back up!

Still paying dividends and strong EPS-P/E for current price.

This stock will easily outperform the S&P 500, they are a well respected company and their dividend is solid. Should the market, and S&P 500, rally a bit, then that will only help them. As long as they don't substantially cut their dividend, they are attractive right now, and currently their price is too attractive to pass up.
Remember, we have a boatload of cash sitting on the sidelines still ready to get put back into the market, and no one is going to jump all over real estate as the ultimate investment anymore. Stocks are king, and when the real estate market stabilizes over the next 2-5 years, we'll see a solid stock market again, and you will wish you had bought AB at around $18 a share.

Co is an important player in value investing. Current market didn't do them justice. They manage a huge amount of money that gernerate great revenu streams plus the beating the took recently makes them deserving of that buy rating i give them.
They actually are having a big "makeover" is their wholesaling departement which is going to be, IMO, to lead them forward.

Trying to reason out why this company's share price went down. Sadly, nothing more than a change in it's CEO seems to have caused the share price down other than the general market trend.
After looking into the company numbers further, I feel that I missed an opportunity to pick up a very good company for a cheap price. No matter, I still bought into it. As this market trend continues, I feel that I'm going to be buying more in the future. Solid company hurt by panic and sell offs.
During the next year, i see another dip in it's price as the general market bottoms out and then a fairly quick recovery in the second half of the year. I would not be surprised to see closing prices in early 2010 similar to the early 2008 time period.

AB business will continue to generate excllent cash flow from the delivery of its services to institutional and private clients.

Adding dividend stocks to my list.

Great dividend, low p/e, strong management. Near its 52 week low. I think it's been oversold because all financial firms are out of favor.

Compelling valuation and dividend yield on an asset manager with nearly 700B assets under management.

Sounds like a decent, well-run financial services company getting pounded by the continued negative sentiment currently pervaiding the market - like to pick these up when everyone is running for the door.

No subprime exposure and nice divie! This financial has taken too severe of a beating. ROIC > 70%!!!

AllianceBernstein L.P. is a diversified investment management company for high profile clients, including but not limited to, institutional investors, retail clients, and private clients. This company has a solid track record. The multiple is a little high for my taste, but the dividend yield alone makes it a solid anchor stock for any portfolio.
With a market cap of less than $10 billion and earnings growth reaching altitudes that will give the average investor nosebleeds...I look for this one to outperform for many years to come.

Zero debt and recently bounced off its 52-week low. Their net five-year profit margin is 90% -- how many other companies can say that?
Their dividend is an impressive 7% at this point. The payout ratio is scary (102), but their cash flow does not seem to be in much trouble: They've increase cash in each of the past four years, plus the first quarter of 2008. If the dividend gets cut, fine; if not, all the better until the stock price goes back up.
