I don't understand why this company isn't performing better. It specifies in student housing. Students are always going to need housing. Now with more people going back to school, ideally, this stock should be a safe real estate bet.

Since it owns a lot of real estate bought recently at high prices and carries significant debt , this company will be in a tight spot if it loses very many tenants. With the economy still tightening, ACC is likely to encounter a rough patch in the near future.

a winner for a long time to come. The debacle in housing credit, will force more people to rent, driving rent increases and prices for years to come. It's cyclical, like any previous housing booms/busts

- Gross & Op margins in line; net margin is 1/3rd industry
- Revenue growth actually trails industry
- ROE <2%, ROA & ROI <1%
- below average interest coverage (non-problematic right now, though)

Student housing is not going to decrease, it not prone to subprime, dividend yield is good (almost 5%), and technically it is about to break out above that 15 month long $31 bar and going to go much higher.

Student housing is a VERY HIGH GROWTH industry and this REIT is the best way to get in on the action.

Besides he growth, you get great dividends.

Since the number of college students will continue to increase for the long-term, this stock is a perfect match. Increased students per university and per area will lead to new housing project and a significant increase in cost, which will generate higher profits and increase land value simulataneously
