Fracking will, in the near future, become more a part of what we do in the next few year, particularly as more LNG and CNG vehicles come into service. With the concerns that exist, monitoring will become more of an issue, and USSI simply has a better mousetrap. In addition, the aging grid makes performance monitoring a more valuable commodity, though it's largely based in Australia, electricity behaves the same everywhere, and there are lots of ways to monetize this expertise - sales and/or licensing opportunities exist. I'm not as sold on DSIT, due to the rather limited market, but if there's one good government contract out there, then it becomes a potentially good business to sell or spinoff.
Visited by CEO and Vista Partners, who are paid to pump up the stock. Conclusions:Weak management with no competitive advantages and vague plan for profitable growthHas been issuing more shares to raise capital and will continue to see diluted equity in the futureWill have to continue selling unrelated businesses to raise cash Hasn't had positive normalized earnings since 1997
Acorn unusual company - holding businesses in key energy fields - a winner in any of these would push the stock considerably up
Untrustworthy management trying to tout prices->came to present on campus. Does not seem to have strong financials and is losing money. All explanations for expectation of future growth rests upon the expectations of the management (feasibility of these dreams seem unrealistic).
Company is an over-promotional border-line scam. Insiders will be paid well, shareholders will not.Big thumb down for LT. If only borrowing rate wasn't 23.5% annualized...
USSI orders continuing, growth in orders may ensue especially for 4D oil and gas shale monitoring systems, this product was demo'ed a lot during 2012. This is the best example of ACFN's current holdings maturing well. ACFN significantly grew the value of CoaLogix previously, I believe the same success can be replicated with USSI and Gridsense, which are two of the four segments of ACFN.
I'm in. Found this stock in a screen, and the researched stuff looks good. Cutting edge stock with lots of room to grow. I like it.
Micro Cap company that has been beaten down in the last year, but very little selling pressure. Growing revenue stream despite no profit (yet), low debt, and thirsty insiders. Long term play.
