This is a must-have. As of 5/2009, more than 75% was invested in AAA issues, of which, most was U.S. gov't backed stuff. Yields more than 7%! Solid as a house of bricks.

NAV is around 7.50 right now. Trading at a big discount to NAV. This investment will outperform in the short term, underperform in the long term (beta of 0.3!)

This is a great place for your money in the short term, as it has an 8% yearly dividend compounded monthly. Great for an IRA, because often it has a capital gains distribution at the end of the year.

Over 60% must be invested in US Treasuries, so the risk/return on this is incredible!

Here's a nice income fund I recently added to my IRA portfolio to add a little stability along with income. It pays .05 per share monthly which provides a yield of just over 7 % with very little volatility.
