Coal represents at least a century of domestic supply, exports, and outsource resistant employment even modeling full tilt exploitation. Govt. approving new mining projects behind the carbon rhetoric. Industry deserves a 'manhattan project' [MDR,GTLS,ESN,GDI] not a carbon tax. Coal is already converted to liquid diesel and aviation fuel elsewhere [SSL]. The USAF has a contingency plan to put it in the mix as a jet fuel which could start CTL here. We can stop smelting steel, and turn off the lights and so on but the coal's still going out the door to growing economies.

Coal is not going away as a power source any time soon. This company is the best of breed for coal, with less debt, better income, and better margins than its peers.
This is one of the few coal stocks to pay a dividend. Catch the high beta and cyclical stocks during the downturn and cash out a four-bagger when the economy improves.

This one will come around, I think they're well positioned and as with the rest of the coal industry they're now in a more defensive yet profitable mode. I am considering purchasing in the next day or 2 letting the market drop near what I feel is it's new testing low.
