* Alcon's fundamentals are fantastic. Solid growth in all key areas over the past 10 years (ROI, Equity Growth, EPS Growth, and Sales Growth).
* Alcon's 2.3% dividend is not too shabby either
* I really see 2 things going on for Alcon in the short term:
- First, Alcon has experienced a decent downward momentum as of late that seems to have bottomed out. I am expecting this trend to reverse and catch some upward momentum shortly.
- Here is the real reason why I see upward gains with ACL: This month Novartis paid Nestle $180 a share to gain a controlling stake in Alcon but they only offered 2.8 Novartis shares for each Alcon share (which is an offer of about 150-ish dollars). Alcon's independent directors made it clear this month that his offer is disgusting and a slap in the face to minority shareholder. However, my expectation is that Novartis will raise their offer to make this problem go away.

Nice company, but a bit pricey for the estimated future earnings. Think this could pull back in a bit and be a buy. Chart looks like it is selling off a bit. Amazing ROE and ROA. Good dividend as well.
