FDA approval is looming in Jan to March 2010 when it does acura will hit 12 to 15 or be bought or both king will scoop it up

Acura Pharmaceuticals got bloodied (36%) when it received word from the FDA that it had a "labeling" issue for it's experimental pain drug Acurox which would delay a response past the expected June 30th date. While this could be bad news, as it adds another layer to the process and delays, it appears to me to be as expected for a drug that includes oxycodone WHILE trying to meet the new FDA guidelines that attempt to curb prescription drug abuse, which can be common with opioid pain drugs. Acura's "Aversion(r)" (abuse deterrent) Technology, has the issue of being the first to test the new guidelines and it should not be unexpected for the FDA to ensure they are establishing a clear set of guidelines. Once through these hurdles Acura will be the "poster child" for the new rules and will be able to see it's drug where other companies cannot without similar approval. Several analysts expect the dreaded "complete response" letter from the FDA which could set things back 6-18 months if more data is needed, but this delay to me appears to only be a cautious approach from the FDA, not a formal "complete response". If I'm wrong, my CAPs will need some pain reliever!
