Automatic Data Processing (ADP)

CAPS Rating:
****

The Company is a provider of business outsourcing solutions. It offers number of HR, payroll, tax and benefits administration solutions from a single source and also provides integrated computing solutions to automotive and recreational vehicle dealers.

Rating a stock in CAPS consists of three components:

Your call - Will this stock outperform or underperform the S&P 500? Successful picks are measured in terms of whether or not you were correct and by how many percentage points.

Your time frame - A guideline for other members to see whether your thinking is short or long-term. Time frame is also used to calculate the stock rating, but is not used in the scoring of your pick.

Your pitch - Here's your chance to offer more detailed thoughts, analysis, concerns, or the rationale behind your call. The pitch is optional and may be added later.

Each time you rate a stock, CAPS updates the community intelligence for the company, which may or may not change its CAPS rating. For more information, visit the Help tab at the top of the page.

Isn't it true that they have never posted a quarterly loss?? They are also entering the UK market with wage collection service etc ... They also assist with computerize solutions in industries where that knowledge is lacking ...

They are solid and perform year in & year out ... an anchor...More

i have been tracking this company for some time. it has not budged above $51. its just stuck there. the company is too big. while Paychex is doing better, it has been growing for some time.

This company has plenty of cash reserves and traditionally has been very conservative in their investments. However,
the stock has been stagnant for quite some time. New management is needed to give this premier company the boost it deserves.

There are still a lot of mid-sized companies who could benefit from having ADP run their payroll. Plus, ADP is expanding into the areas of 401k and benefit administration.

I work at a big computer company, and also run a small business. Both companies use ADP for payroll. I have not had any problem with their flagship product (payroll processing), and they have a great footprint. What's not to like about this stock?

great company that is way too cheap. nice dividend, and they will continue to raise it, and continue to buy back their own shares. awesome balance sheet.
