With a niche in the design software industry, this "extreme performance stock" has been undervalued, as of late, and should be postured to beat the major market indices in the long term.

This is software in transition. Autodesk has most of the drafting market, and the adoption to BIM is sweeping the construction industry. That will mean a lot of purchases of the software. As buildings become more complex, and designers look for ways to get construction document costs down, this stock should go up.

Autodesk is a huge player in the technical design, modeling, and editing field. Their software is used by engineers and artists alike to get their ideas modeled and products built. Their software licensing and subscription plans are tight, preventing piracy and encouraging loyalty. I look for a steady stream of increased revenue as more users upgrade and convert to subscription.

1. Alias acquisition will pay off with their world wide marketing.
2. Marketing is positioning their own 3D CAD software (Inventor) to upgrade their own 2D customers.
3. Their video software is gaining ground for post processing of major movies.
4. They have a long term goal of a high profit margin.
