If mgmnts plan prevails the % of increase from current price wil be larger that that which the S&P will experience

27% yield on this REIT. Only two questions
1. Can they keep it up (obviously assumes no bankruptcy)?
2. Can they maintain their REIT status (otherwise potential for double taxation)?
Mgmt represents that they've:
1. Taken all their medicine (written down assets to market value)
2. Freed up cash
3. Gotten rid of recourse liabilities (which drive margin calls)
If true, this is a moonshot. Biggest red flag is that they're not buying their equity these prices, but caution is warranted since their is still a pall on derivatives.

The credit crises and morgage meltdown in the U.S. isn't going anywhere this summer and is likely to only get worse. If Bear Sterns couldn't survive what hope is their for the rest of the financial sector. Yes, the financial sector seems to be jumping back and key reversals seem to be lifting bullish investors, but this ray of hope will end once investors understand how bad this looming recession is going to be. Even the hopeful and growing few in the financial sector are going to suffer from the troubles of the many.

For me, that dividend is like the moth to the flame. And with the ticker beaten down by the real estate market to a delightful low price, I'm aiming for this to be a good long term hold. The more shares gained at this low price translates into bigger dividend payouts in the long term. So as long as they continue the dividend payout, I'm in. Any climb in the ticker price is merely icing on the cake in my mind. I'm not ignoring the risk, I'm simply accepting that the bigger rewards come with bigger risks.

30% yield is good for any long-term investment. The sky is not falling, and with the current FED bailout program, I think this is pretty safe.

Another healthy dividend or two on time and I expect this to rocket back over $10

33% dividend and an excellent 4q 2007 CC all point to signs of this small specialty REIT surviving the current credit crisis.

i am adding my comment before this company is under a 100 million market cap.

Great dividend yield, more than 30%

Ripple effect of housing will reduce all the financial sector to be defensive, Even FED help wont change the mindset of being defensive, in essence, there are not too many high risk, high gain plays for year or So.

CEO divy projected at minimum $!1a share for 2008.

Illustrating the crazinest of the credit markets, Alesco has just (3/10/08) declared
a dividend of $.25/share and the expectation they'll be able to maintain the divvy @ $.25 to $.30 per qtr. for the year. This on a stock that has been trading under $3.00!

This stock is taking a sector beating worse than it's brother RAS. I like these prices, I am slightly over wieght, but the Div is keeping me in check. Two Div Payments and a significant upside out weighs the risk here. I am all about some payments and a short term upside from here. The credit mess is long from over but this stock is far from hurting from it. They are still going to make the Dividend payments through 2008. Don't sweat it. The big fear is can they recover before 2012... I think so. In the next 12 months they will be doing new business and making the shareholders happy again.

plans to maintain dividend. recent insider buying. good fundamentals excluding last quater.

I am essentially gambling here but I have a feeling that this REIT simply went public at the wrong time and paid for it. The insiders keep buying and I am content to be a bottom feeder while people sell everything not nailed down.
I recently opened my first position for this stock in real life, albeit a small one, and expect this to pop back up with NCT. Yes I have been nutty enough to buy both.
Recs
This stock was punished along with the sector even thought its exposure in sub-prime debt was far less than other companies.
