long life batteries are the future. Also Nanotech. Alti combines both, a great pipeline and some good tests and feedback. Watch this one grow!

PHEVs will be offered by the big carmakers by 2008-2010. The battery technology is the big problem with bringing these to market. AltairNano has identified the key blockers, and has a patented technology that seems to overcome them.

Everything is portable.
2 hours mp3 listening and then .. 2 hours of battery-loading.
Not for long anymore. Alti is able to load batterys in 20 seconds to 80% of their total capacity. Less explosive than li-ion batteries. First trials as a car-battery are now being made.

This company will either do really well, or really badly in the coming year. It is fighting for its survival because they are running out of cash, and therefore time. The odds of success are, in my opinion higher than those of failing, but not by much at this time. But if it makes it, the gains will far offset the potential losses.
