This is a classic value pick. Recently beaten down by declining global auto sales, Autolive still produces the most safety systems worldwide, they still have an impressive cash flow, and they're still paying a handy dividend. What this means to investors is that even if earnings growth remains unimpressive, this stock will at the very least pay you back just for holding on. If they manage to maintain their current dividend, never raising it even once, and they pull off compounded earnings growth around 4%, Autolive will clobber the S&P500 over the next few decades.

Autoliv Inc ALV announced a buy back program on their stock, then a few weeks later announced an incrase on the rate of the buyback. The stock is coming off of the 52 wk low 36.69--65.09 and now is just under $40 a share. This company has raised their dividend payout six years in a row now at $.1.64 a share or 4 %
They also filed with the SEC regarding an agreement to purchase auto radar sensor business Tyco Electronics for $42 million. One year analysts target price is $49.

major player but hit by slowing economy, guidance down but severely punished by market for this, so a nice buying opp. Bought some in real life today as well.
