AMAT has a bright future and excellent fundamentals. Its solar tech is up and coming and deserves a look. Growth potential is awesome.

Don't fight the bull case being made on this one right now. This stock will be upgraded by more analyst as it continues to move against the market. This stock probably hit's 26-30. I would be a seller in that range, this is stricltly momentum here and a good old tech bounce.
Recs
so far so good

confidence problem, middle management cutting indians to placate chiefs

Solar! I work there and I know what is happening inside things are humming

This one actually seems to have support and buyers.

AMAT has a history of making advances in the manufacturing of semiconductors (and other sundry applications in nanotechnology), but fails to perform when it comes to production quality standards - leaving room for competitors to advance. Couple that with antiquated workforce management practices, and you dont necessarily have a recipe for disaster, but certainly one for underperformance.
Recs
Good bet for the future with semi conductor market; also good bet for those interested in companies trying to take advantage of getting into renewable energy resources (solar).
Recs
reinstating amat...believe the worst is over.
Recs
great solar play

Wish I could pick Year to 2 years in time frame. Big deal with non-US based company for supplying solar tech for Europe and China
Recs
A solid alternative energy play. Applied is uniquely positioned to deliver gigawatt-scale manufacturing capability.
Today, Applied Materials filed a Form 8-K with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission announcing sales agreements totaling approximately $1.9 billion for a gigawatt-scale solar project.
Recs
Moving into solar as demand for alternative energy sources increases. In a period now where solar startups need manufacturing equipment that Applied Materials can produce.
Recs
Gut feeling and good P/E along with potential pick up of solar cells and led displays. By year end will see sales increase.

China solar city, target $26
