This is going to come back strong. They are finally going to capitalize on there ATI purchase. There is plenty of market share for them and Intel to thrive. The rumours of of AMD being bought out are growing louder all the time. I think this one will double in a year or so.

AMD is a solid company with a solid product. Intel has recently taken back market share and caused the recent drop in stock price; however, AMD is revamping their business plan to accomodate the Intel giant. They are also on the verge of releasing new products this summer.

I just bought 75 shares at 4.31, HOW can it go any lower?
FYI see my Circuit City Rec.

I'm Speculating, It's beaten down. I know it is still not turning profit but gamers are faithful. After bad ATI deal, hopefully will swing around. I would hate only having Intel as the sole source.

It never keeps a strong price....

Best Risk Reward play in the CPU market. Take a look at the weekly chart. AMD will hit $10+ within the next years. Simply buy & hold!

Greatly undervalued at the moment.

If you can break even, sell it and buy INTC.

AMD is going through tough times right now, so it is certainly possible for it to go down further, however, not by much. Long term, the prospects of a rebound look good with the Barcelona coming out this summer and in a few years, the recent aquisition will pay off as more video functionality is embedded in AMD chips. With a long term focus, this seems to be a good time to open a position in AMD.

> poor financials and limited future does not justify the current price
> not able to challenge Intel and Koreans

You won't get this stock much cheaper, than now. Buy and Hold for future returns.

I see a market price of at least 25 in the not so distant future. The company is selling at less than twice their total equity, virtually unheard of for such a market shaker. Intel on the other hand is selling at approximately 3.5 of equity.
Merger adjusted P/E is another item going for them. If you subtract the one time losses from the ATI merger you get a P/E of approximately 16, vs.'s Intel's 25.
I don't think the gross margins is an issue either. Because let's face it, eventually intel needto boost their gross margins to justify their own stock price (unless of course, they want to bleed to death).
And let's not forget AMD's new arrival due by this summer. Together with the ATI graphics and close dealings with Microsoft for the new Vista O/S, should make this company a formidable competotor.

ATI acquisition; no debt; I hate intel.

Barcelona on d way

Will take more market share from Intel

Price doesn't matter. Quality and performance does. Intel will outshine in few months time. MSS will prove this...

AMD has plenty to grow and compete against Intel. Its chips are also more affordable and comparitive in power to Intels. With consumers in need of a laptop on a budget this can pay off.
Recs
AMD's current price is a takeover bargain. Some investors have started accumulating the stock. This was evidence by a small but steady price increase in the last few days despite pessimistic views by most analysts

AMD spends its time developing products for the consumer. INTC spends its time making better manufacturing for the share holders. AMD can allways rent manufacturing. they paid too much for ATI, but it will pay off when they have a better product than inel. the upside to AMD is far greater than intel. whith a market cap of 3.55B AMD has room to grow. intel has a market cap of 120B.

Has anyone ever known a real - life monopoly ? Well guess what ! That has been Intel's story all along. They have suppressed this chip company (AMD) far too long ! This is a faster personal computer chip ! AMD has always had the upper hand on building a faster more reliable processing chip. As the world now turns to Apple, Look out ! The next version of dependability will once again be copied by much better marketing...! This is Intel's Sole Competitor !!!
