You have to be worried about a dividend cut here; the balance sheet numbers are nice and relatively safe, but earnings and cash flow are nothing to go crazy about, even on an enterprise basis. It's not a bad pick but I think there are better places to go right now.

Anything with "American" in the name is a pretty safe short. I used to walk by the offices of LandAmerica Financial Group in 2007-2008. Considering they hit the trifecta (land, America and financial) it should go without saying they went bankrupt.

But seriously, AMSWA is overpriced on an earnings and cash flow basis, and the growth that analysts project does not appear likely to materialize.
