on My Watchlist
The Company is a provider of wireless communication services in Latin America based on subscribers.
One week trade
Long term pick. Following Carlos Slim's money on this one.
Growing technology in emerging market...seems like a win.
2011 was a tough year for this company, because of their expense in building out their 4G network, but now they are going to ride big profits into the coming year. If you believe in the expansion of the middle class across Latin America, and I do; and if you believe in the sagacity of one Carlos Slim, and I do, then this is a great "follow the money" pick for 2012.
Strong company, lots of room to grow in the Americas.
AMX is a cash cow and mainly focused on growth, and very able competition
Stock split coming, dividend rising, all looks good, putting a little bit of real money on it for the long haul.
AMX gets a huge thumb down because of such nonsense like that below !http://www.telnor.com/irishttps://www.iris.telnor.com/MobileVoice/vwForgotPassword.asp?x=here the source below to doublecheck!http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telnor
I got in on the deal when it was not a known entity. It was spun off from Telmax. Since then i have gotten Telephono Mexico International shares as another spin off. It does not hurt to ride the coat tails of the richest man in the world!!!
emerging market growth and a reasonable PE, sounds like a winner. carlos owns 30% of company.
i'll tolerate the volatility for the potential growth this offers in an emerging market.
Aquisitions; and covers most of South America, including Mexico.
I own it
