In good times and bad, AMZN continues to gain market share, and remains profitable. While the current price is not cheap, it should be much higher in 5 years.

I love amazon and the customer service is excellent. I think this company will do really well in the future if they continue on the same path they are on now. I also like that they have a lot of free music, and not just singles but whole albums.

Tough economy, shopping online has increased dramatically during the recession, should do very well this Christmas. The Kindle has really driven earnings increase. Lowest cost online retailer with huge reach across the globe. This company deserves much higher valuation, and will get ridiculously overvalued in the next few months.

It's who we click to for stuff online. Jeff Bezos, CEO - visionary - said "I knew that if I failed, I wouldn't regret that. But the one thing I might regret is not trying." My kind of CEO. The Bezos family owns 1/3 - so they have a lot at stake. They just bought Zappos - and Zappos CEO Tony Hsieh is thrilled. Amazon just bought his baby and he's thrilled! Sounds like AMZN is a good Daddy too. Numbers: 19% ROIC, 46% Equity growth rate, EPS up 33%, sales up 28%. As of 11/14/09 they are half price, conservatively - at $194.

I was reading everyones reasoning behind their underperform for this stock.....

Not sure if they realize that Amazon finally closed their deal, and now they are the proud owners of zappos.com

Now zappos.com has the culture, now that added with Amazons business ideology, they are going to go far.

It also helps that they bought out(1.2B in AMZN stock) their huge online competitor, they will make a great team, great move by both teams.

Also, Zappos didnt change staff, just board members, which is great!

I'm a student and I buy a lot of book and so do many of my peers. Mostly we get our books from Amazon, and not the school book store. On top of that, I like to read, like many of my friends, when ever we want to send something, it is always sent by amazon. Once in a while I do want to go down to my local Powell's, greatest bookstore on earth, and check a book out a little more. Amazon now also offers this feature online and their prices are still better. Gone are the days of Borders and Barnes (unless they revamp their online stores).

Amazon.com has become my favorite store. With the great deals on blu-rays, dvds and other items, Walmart better watch out.

Amazon may have problems, but it's still the Queen of internet shopping. Prices are good, stock is good, return policies are generous, shipping is as instantaneous as on-line can be.
