Management seems to have a solid grasp of controlling costs and staying out of debt. In addition, While it has a lot of competition for it's medical supplies, it's setback last year with it's primary distributor has given the company opportunites to expand through other distribution channels. While the housing market is still in the slumps, it seems that it's construction products are well received, and this segment of the business is growing.

over $1 in cash, no debt, as long as it makes money won't take long before there is more cash on books than the price. have to adjust the P/E for cash minus debt. This building supply segment is going to prove a huge plus for the company and I have faith in this MGT they manage expenses well lowering SG&A as sales dropped last year.

This stock drives me nuts. It's down for years and then for a few months it will have a good run, everyone sells and then the stock goes back to around $1.50-2 a share. Great if you can wait it out that long with your money tied up. I should have sold all my shares when it was up around 6 a year and a half ago. Disappointing performance overall, and I expect it to underperform at least until summer.

This one is just waiting for the next flu pandemic. Unfortunatley, it will happen and this stock will soar again.

This stock looks great, but I am very disturbed by some footnotes in the annual report. I

According to the report, the company granted 691,744 stock options in 2009 to "employees, officers and non-employee directors". The company then set aside roughly $1,900,000 to "repurchase shares" - this represents nearly 1/2 of APT's cash, and would be fantastic if it was a real buyback program. But in 2009 APT "bought back" just over a million shares - within 400,000 shares of the amount of shares given to directors and employees! Of course, the granting of stock options is not included on the income statement under compensation, but this is roughly $1.2 million gone from the company in the last 12 months and into the pocket of employees and directors. Am I missing something? How does it make ANY sense to grant 650,000 compensatory stock options to insiders (which you would only do if you thought the stock was overvalued) and then BUY BACK 1,200,000 shares at market value (which you would only do if you thought the stock was undervalued)?

Want to know how a company with great earnings and a P/E of 5 with no debt can trade at less than book value? If the insiders are looting the company. I can't give it a thumbs down, because I don't think it will fall, but I don't see appreciation much above $3 if management and the board are going to loot the company like this and not include it in the calculation of earnings. Thumbs up, but very reluctantly and not past $3.25 with current management.

If you either change management or end this insane employee stock option plan that loots the market cap every year, this is a $18 stock.

Disclosure: Long APT.

This stock is grossly undervalued, and should be trading between 3.00 and 5.00 with its current fundamentals prior to the next earnings release

APT is making good money off their H1N1 related products, but its their building materials division that is going to keep them in the black for many years. They make a roof film that is replacing roofing felt in western markets. Having worked in building materials for many years, no one likes roofing felt! Their roof film and housewrap alone are going to push this stock up! Way up!

With the upcoming H1N1 flu season coming fast,
and this company manufactures disposable masks,
it seems like a moderate to strong buy over the
next several months.

I have been trying to tout the potential of this stock since it was well below $1. In their infinite wisdom , the motley company that I have paid money to give me a consistant string of losers has not aloowed me to tell anybody about this stock, which, well just look at the stock chart year to year vs, the dow/sp/etc., They are indeed motley, and I am indeed the fool. I wasted $$ on such recs as fo at $40. which promptly hit the twenties, and is just now recovering to the b/e point, would have made 300% plus in APT, as would have you and other "fools" except that they wouldn't let me tell you, cuz "they" know whats's best for us fools. p.s. this stock is very likely to hit $6-10$ by end of tthe year. They earned more in the last qtr, than in the last 5 qtr's, have no debt, and are buying back stock. Luck to all us fools.
