Alexandria Real Estate Equities (ARE) is the largest “life science” real estate company, serving major pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical sciences industries. At the end of 2012, ARE owned 178 properties, covering about 17 million rent-able square feet that were 93.4% leased. They own some of the largest life science properties in New York City, Boston, San Diego and Research Triangle Park in North Carolina.

ARE has crushed the market over the long-term and currently yields over 4%. REITs have been hit pretty bad lately with the recent rise in Treasury yields, so you're getting ARE at a bargain today. I think it's not only an exceptionally-managed REIT, but a great way to indirectly bet on biotech (without a lot of the additional risk).

It really should specially in the long run. It's inevitable due to natural market direction.

Expensive property in a niche market for life science research seems to be a bit speculative in this market, especially given that some of these properties are in cities like SF, where prices continue to fall as taxes continue to rise.

This stock is completely overpriced with P/E 21.37. Terrible long term debt to equity ratio (2.06), tepid return on equity 8.8, and very high payout ratio...This is unsustainable. And, with the federal government in so much debt, I don't expect the national institute of health (NIH) budget to increase anytime soon and NIH money is very important source of income for life sciences industry...

This is a one-star company within 10% of its 52-week high. It's gotta go down some time!

I believe Aecon Group Inc.'s stock price will grow very much because they are one of the only companies in Canada that can contract to repair the infrastructure in Canada, such as poor road and highway conditions, rebuilding bridges etc. Canada is planning to use ~$33 billion-plus to hire private companies to repair the infrastructure and one of the few companies able to handle the job.

With a meaty Current Dividend Yield of 3.16% these guys have NOT paid out too much value of the core business. THIS ONE IS GOING TO SHINE LIKE A NEW PENNY!

ARE is building out BioTech Space in San Francisco's Mission Bay ahead of schedule. Biotech is booming, and San Francisco is where it's happening. ARE is in the right place at the right time.
