What a great price to get into this stock. Well little history on arry was that they have had a hugeeee pipeline but have been blessed with some terrible along with a trial 3 data result that did not meet its ends. Away from the bad they have four game changers due within the next 6months so spec alone will hype this baby up eventually.

Loss-making, but these small pharma's are a gamble. One hit is all it takes.

At lower end of trading range with possible DRIVERS coming in Summer of 2009. 4.75 a share would make me smile but anything higher would make me Happy...not a bad company as BIOS go.

As the small cap biotech market spasms and writhes, I have initiated a program of placing outperform ratings on some stocks that have always seemed just a little bit overpriced to me. One such company is Array, which seems to be a specialist in phase I and phase II trials and just can't seem to get anything into phase III (see Exelixis, Incyte). It's always annoyed me how they are constantly broadening their pipeline and never lengthening it. But given enough time and cash, the potential is undeniable. I won't get into the details of the individual programs, but low-key early stage positive catalysts could appear at any time. Of course, the downside of all these companies is their reliance on debt and dilutive financing to progress their research, which will ultimately render them insolvent if the credit crisis continues unabated and results in a depression. So these outperform ratings represent my sense of optimism that we've learned enough from prior failures to correct our policies before an actual depression occurs. By the way, I'm not optimistic enough to put real money into these companies.

biotech darling will be bought out eventually by a big pharma for growth.

What we have in Array BioPharma is what we see in Exelixis - only a year two earlier. And if there is a "safer" way for most of us to play the biotech sector it is to get in very early with small amounts and add over time in small pieces.
The reason to get in early is fairly straightforward - Array has 10 drugs in development - the majority in Cancer and 3 that will treat Inflammation (I.E. anything -itis). Much like its older brother Exelixis, Array has partnered with the big boys - your Genentechs, Amgens, Celgene, Eli Lilly, etc.
With so many established players in the Biotech field willing to partner with Array, its stands to reason the company is producing some excellent compounds.
As Charly Travers and Brian Lawler have taught me, most of these compounds will not be approved by the FDA - but dont despair, because we only need 1 or 2 of these to make it. The risks remain high (and why I allocate small amounts even to promising biotechs) but the potential for multibagger returns is very evident.
Cheers!
Matt

This is an interesting small cap company with a decent drug pipeline as well as some very intriguing technology for drug development. It is not clear that they have a winner in the pipeline yet but they do have one of the best drug development platforms available. Their platform allows development that is rapid and inexpensive and this should enable the company to excell over the longer term as they have solid scientific expertise in house.

The depth of Array's pipeline is similar to Exelexis' pipeline, and should pay off handsomely for both companies over the long haul...

This one may take awhile to play out, but it is worth the risk to get in now.

I decided to Bail on Excel after the failed drug trial so I ended that pick. Then the RuleBreaker newsletter gave me another drug company to replace excel. I really like what rulebreaker says, subscribe to get the details.
