Great FCF, Lot of great franchises and debt free with excellent balance sheet

Could sling the shorts and pop a top.

Essentially, I go along with Dave on this one. Nothing to add. The market will eventually recognize a winner.

This company has produced great addicting games in the past and I expect them to keep producing games.
Recs
They've pulled off the fastest-selling PC game of all-time (Cataclysm), the fastest-selling video game of all-time (Black Ops), and the highest-grossing opening weekend in entertainment history (also Black Ops)... all in the past quarter, with earnings coming up... and with the stock falling down, despite that ATVI has sharp management, no debt, and no meaningful competition, due to brands so addictive that they guarantee recurring payments (month-after-month for WoW & year-after-year for CoD) while ruining lives faster than most forms of heroin (www.wowdetox.com)... with no evidence that they won't be able to do the same thing next year, and the year after that.
I've got no delusions about being able to time the market, but this is why I think the time might be now: ATVI has been smashing its own sales records for years (literally every time they put out a sequel), but this is the first time they've ever set the bar twice in the same quarter.
Lastly: For the readers of The Fool, I would be remiss not to mention that we're playing with cheat codes: every time the Gardner brothers have repeatedly endorsed a stock -- and I'd be shocked if they don't reiterate their reiteration a week from now -- that stock has made them a fortune, sooner or later... and the longer they've waited --AMZN, AOL/TWX, NFLX-- the higher it's peaked.

Price is dipping again. Time to jump aboard for the long term. Fantastic products and industry leader at a value price. ATVI's day will come when the market catches on.
Recs
This is a stock waiting to explode. Still a bargain. Patience required.
Recs
Recently hit two year roof around 12.50 and this will be bled dry for the next few months. Under $11 in a couple of months
Recs
Great games and cash flow from subscriptions.
Recs
Overpriced - World of Warcraft will soon collapse like ever other MMO.

This company will continue to falter. Value is a mirage. World of Warcraft is the smoke and mirrors. Although the company does produce a very robust and strong stable of products, I estimate World of Warcraft to account for nearly %50 of the companies value. Every year the game loses the war of attrition. Perhaps I am a little fierce in saying a 1 yr span the stock will continue to show the effects of its cracking mirrors (World of Warcraft dying) but it will show eventually. Only savior would be World of Warcraft 2. Even that is a risky proposition. Look at Everquest and how big of a bomb Everquest 2 was. Sequels often are so hyped and met with incredibly high expectations that is rarely ever met.

Yes,Cata WoW sales are gonna book for the Xmas quarter, yes COD, sales are solid, and yes SC2 got the summer dollars. BUT, the Blizzard Cata, just made a segment of subscribes PISSED. We don't have 80 hours a week to play, we don't like being pigeonholed, to the next mandatory stop. Most IMPORTANT, if we wanted the game BS of the other games example "guild wars" we'd be playing them. I own the stock, but they just lost 3 account subscribtions a month from this household. As a guild Gm in the game, the talk with the "real job players/ 30 yr old plus players is very negative and Blizzard is looking at losing atleast 10% of there subscribers over the next 6 months. Simple math piss off (casual players), that don't have time to earn a college degree from Blizzard Cata University. Get back to basic's I didn't have this much homework to do in college, let alone the volume of research needed to keep up plus playtime. This isn't about graphic's or depth of content. The adult's are about to pack up and leave chargecards in hand, If Blizzard doesn't address the negative social issue's and time requirements they will soon find themselves losing customers like other MMO's.
Recs
At the top.. Not a real growth play
Recs
Between World of Warcraft and the highly-anticipated Diablo 3 release upcoming, Blizzard is sure to see some profits in the years ahead.
Recs
Virtual goods are the way of the future subscription models are not. WoW is not going anywhere, but where is the upside there? If they changed WoW SC2 and Diablo to virtual goods model...then we would be talking.
Recs
Now, I don't want to seem like a nerd as it may reflect my credibility ;P but I live for World of Warcraft and Call of Duty. So do just about all of my friends. Long term OUTPERFORM sentiment! Try to play Zombies on ATVI's Black Ops! Now that's a hoot!
Recs
ATVI has an undeniably successful army of game and movie franchises, such as Call of Duty, Guitar Hero, Shrek, Tony Hawk, and all the Marvel Comics characters. The company is set up to succeed. What's not to love long-term?
Recs
Affordable and Call of Duty Black Ops sales reach 1 Billion. Gaming isn't going anywhere, and with sales like this they could really establish supremacy in the video game market.
Also, if you compare ATVI to it's similar-sized competitor Electronic Arts (ERTS), they seem very solid. EA's YTD was -7% whereas ATVI has had a 12% i ncrease.
As far as a video game publisher goes, I think this one shows steady promise as long as they continue to provide solid titles. It also doesn't hurt when you have games that supply the company with monthly subscription fees.
Recs
Nothing needs to be explained. Best game makers in the world

I agree with David. The money is pouring in and the stock still looks cheap to me. This stock is due for a bump
