+ Watch AVGO
on My Watchlist
To maintain its sky rocketing valuation, AVGO has to grow at a crazy rate. I'm skeptical given its $5B acquisition (in cash) of late.
AVGO has an A for financial health and a PEG less than 1 on Morningstar, so it's one of my long picks.
Projected to grow earnings a consensus average of 24% while sporting a current P/E around 17 means there is room to run for Avago.
Passed my screening: dividend yield, expected earnings growth, profitability, quality, valuation.
AVGO is still supplying Apple. Here's the recent tear-down of the iPhone 5 showing AVGO's components inside:http://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/iPhone-5-Teardown/10525/2And, here's the Fool article dealing with just such news:http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2012/09/21/whos-inside-the-iphone-5-skyworks-triquint-and-ava.aspx
new chip stock...equals new ideas
"The company?s products are used in cellular phones, consumer appliances, data networking and telecommunications equipment, enterprise storage and servers, renewable energy and smart power grid, factory automation, displays, optical mice, printers, voice and data communications, keypad and display backlighting, backlighting control, base stations, storage area networking, in-car infotainment, lighting, motor controls, power supplies, and optical disk drives applications"
I think stock has some legs.
ibd number 8 in top world stocks. singaporean chip manu.
Play off of the great growth that Apple is experiencing. AVGO is a key supplier for AAPL and I expect this growth to continue in the future. The P/E for AVGO is considerably lower than the average P/E for other key suppliers of Apple products.
supplier for new iphone... should do better than the market and the economy if bears are right. If bulls return to market it should still outperform because bulls flock to growth stocks when looking for outperformance
The market for smartphones is only getting larger, and that will help Avago to outperform!
The trend is your friend!
Apple Ecosystem Pick
Backlit LED and Light Peak is the future and AVGO is well positioned.
Following TMFZahrim's lead. Worked out well for me with PANL.http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2010/12/03/does-avago-have-room-to-grow.aspx
Hounds and Jackals....Backgammon anyone?Too bad this one does not have a dividend....all else, except fair safety, is included in this package.
