Big time growth play. This cosmetics company has increased it's number of sales reps in China by 25% in 2008 (up to 5 million!?) and has a subtantial share of the Brazilian market. As those markets continue to come on-line this company stands to grow substantially.

The turnaround plan launched in 2005 seems to be showing great results. Today's earnings news...
"Strong sales internationally, especially in Latin America and Eastern Europe, helped Avon Products Inc. more than double its second-quarter profit, the cosmetics company said Wednesday. Its shares surged more than 15 percent."
AVP also plays into the aging Boomers as all want to look younger.
AVP should also do well in a soft economy or recession as no self-respecting women is going to go without makeup!
Their future looks bright to me.

Avon Products Us poor working class ladies SELL and BUY Avon because it has QUALITY PRODUCTS. We can't afford Revlon, but we want something that will last.
My Mom sold Avon back in the seventies and made enough money to help buy all four of her daughters clothes. Smart gal right. Kept my Dad quiet. Avon will always be around and I REALLY like their line of products.
I remember getting in trouble because I would sneek in my mother perfumes all the time. No wonder one day she gave me all the empty bottles to keep......
