Following Anticitrade. This stock is selling at a little over 1 times book value and approximately 11 times projected 2010 earnings. The stock was recently hit hard after it took a large goodwill impairment. That being said, nothing has really changed and this stock will eventually trade at 2 times book value.

The 1929-1930 equity rally (coming out of The Great Depression) lasted 147 days and the market was up 46%. It has been the same amount of time since the March, 2009 low and we are up about the same percentage. It’s déjà vu (paramnesia), so prepare for a drop of about the same percentage (85%).

AXE has has a nice track record of steady growth over the past 5 yrs. It's taken a hard hit over the past 3 months given the sharp drops of the markets and a lower 4th quarter reports. But I have to say that this is an opportune chance to catch this one on sale. Right now it's priced at just over $62 and it's coming off of it's 52wk high of ~$88. With sound fundamentals and good management...when it closes the gap, that's a 30% gain...you do the math.
