They've got the fundamentals. When the price of oil is right, this injured fawn will frolick again...

Oil and gas services should be a good sector to be in next year as prices recover, and Basic is in sound enough financial shape to be a safe bet for solid performance.

Yeah, the new Administration is down on fossil fuels, but all that means to me is that you won't have to worry about the government picking winners and losers. I'll take the market over gaming government contracts any day of the week!

One of few stocks in the world that operates in an industry outside of the FIRE sector of economy (FIRE = Financial, Insurance & Real Estate).
In fact, not only does this company operate outside of FIRE, but it offers good future dividend potential, great valuation to earning potential, and is a great pick within its respective sector.

These are companies I'd put my money into right now rather than into residential real estate, apartment buildings, other stocks, commodities, or bonds. Few may fail, but just as many will quadruple within the next decade.

BUY.

bullish on nws, hnsn, prxl, aray, chp, navi, hero, bas, pcz, cybx, feic, ebay

With the energy crunch, companies are looking anywhere they can to gain mining rights, and start new operations, the world still has plenty of oil left to profit from, at inflated prices, this means those that are with that crowd will profit handsomely, if they can be morally ignorant.

Looks like another oil services play with a reasonable PE and potential to keep moving up with the sector.

If you read my pitches, then you've read this a dozen times already. I'll repeat myself again, though.

Oil makes money. Oil is good.

Now oil isn't going to last forever. For right now, though, you can make serious bank with it.

Testing out a portfolio of smallish-cap 5-star stocks found using the CAPS screener. All picks have at least 50 allstars backing them, which should be enough to minimize star rating fluctuations. It's been less than a week, but so far so good!

Basic energy is a field workover company. It works in the Permian basin in west Texas, from Gaines County in the North to Pecos County in the South. I also work OK, LA, AK, NM and KS. The NG business is price sensitive, but the economics of workovers vs. new drills should work well for BAS. They have a relatively new fleet of workover rigs. This is O&G, so ya never know, but I think it'll beat the market.
