Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA (ADR) (BBV)
The Company is a diversified international financial group, with strengths in the traditional banking businesses of retail banking, asset management, private banking and wholesale banking.

Have a look at my overall picks - you will see that I like banks.
Recs
Boosting stake in Citic Group, housing worries of Spain to settle in time, growth in China and steady climb in South America will allow BBV to outperform in the financial sector.
Recs
Cheap as chips. WIth a 3.7% div yield and rising, a terrific business in Spain that includes a solid and stable retail franchise. NPAT growing at 25% plus, driven by loan growth and expanding retail and rapidly growing LATAM/ Mexican exposure from Bancomer aquisition this stock IMO will get a massive reratingfrom its current 10P/E when the subprime noise quitens down. They are exposed to overheated real estate in spain but the diversification on Wholesale and geoegraphy should stand them in good stead. CHeap at current levels without the growth from local/wholesale and LATAM thrown in.
Recs
Spectulative bet. Being global seems to be the future for any investment.
Recs
trying a couple experiments, which hopefully wont mess up my whole portfolio. trying to follow the downtrend.
Recs
Large Spanish bank with $70 billon plus market cap. Large presence in Latin America, particularly Mexico. Good chance of 15% growth with approx. 3% dividend. Good stable European bank, with stong ties in a growing market.

paid out a dividend of $0.10

Finance is big right now. Look at all the financial companies. Big bucks right there. This company is doing all the right things. Diversifying, financials are great. EPS is growing at a steady rate. Why not?

A bank group with sanity. Diverse holdings, China, Latin America, Europe and North America. Hefty provisions to err on the side of caution gives investors confidence in this institution... unlike the bohemoth's that need not be named.
Recs
Deflation in Spain for past 3 months. They had a bigger real estate bubble than the US..
Recs
Good bank in a good area
Recs
Decent Dividend and good P/E. Currently at 52 week low due to Spanish housing scare.
Recs
I think they will outperform in the long run, but I think they'll be kept down in the Spanish housing mess for a while before that happens.

Recs
Second largest bank in Spain, it is also operated in Latin America, US and soon in China. With a dividend 4.3%, PEG 0.75, no long-term debt, and 15% EPS growth, this should be a sure bet.
Recs
Growing in USA, LatAm, and China. Market cap should hit $100 bill soon.
Recs
Good entry point.
