The convergence of positive investment measures, which should help this stock outperform the majority of stocks. The company's strengths can be seen in multiple areas, such as its robust revenue growth, growth in earnings per share, solid stock price performance and increase in net income. The strengths outweigh the fact that the company shows low profit margins.

Balchem is a manufacturer of specialty performance ingredients for the food, animal feed, pharmaceutical and medical sterilization industries. The company's products provide essential nutrients for animal health and enhance therapeutic performance, taste, packaging and shelf life for human food and pharmaceutical markets.
We see 20% to 25% top line and bottom line growth, with 2008 earnings per share (EPS) reaching $1.10, driven by the following factors:
1. Strong demand for poultry in emerging economies is driving demand for choline, an essential poultry nutrient. Acquisitions have quadrupled Balchem's choline business.
2. Encapsulated products in the dairy market deliver nutrients in the harsh environment of the bovine gastrointestinal tract. The company's proprietary products have minimal competition and only a 10% domestic market penetration.
3. Encapsulated products in human nutrition deliver essential nutrients in frozen and packaged foods, including health bars and drinks. The company's encapsulation technology and domestic demand for packaged foods and nutritious snacks are driving growth.
4. Pharmaceutical applications for Balchem's encapsulation technology include calcium products for osteoporosis. Several research and development projects are in place to investigate the use of Balchem's technology with existing ethical and generic drugs.
There are two risks for this purchase. First, increases in raw material prices for choline production have pressured gross margins in 2007. Second, demand growth for poultry products in emerging economies may soften with weaker growth brought on by U.S. economic vulnerability

Balchem presents a diverse portfolio, supported by quickly growing earnings across all 3 of its business segments!!!
Steady growth, bolstered by a series of strategic acquisitions has, in my opinion, given Balchem a very lop-sided market share in the choline chloride business in the US and, for that matter, the rest of the world. Considering choline chloride goes mainly into chicken feed, and chicken consumption is going to surpass pork by 2015, Balchem's BCP Ingredients business segment is worth the current share price ($17.76) all by itself. Add to that the other two business segments, which make up roughly 60% of the rest of the company, and you are left with a true gem!
Great entry at any price below $24 in my opinion.
1 Yr target: $26-$30

BalChem rules.
Consistent management; Great acquisition integration; nothing stopping them from continuing their growth; beautifully cautious and successful expansion of their product lines.
Solid sales growth. (Net) debt-free.
Excellent bottom line growth- 475% over last 9 years...21.5%/year.
I like this stock as much as I like Catherine Zeta Jones, and BalChem's got sexier figures. Listing on the Nasdaq should give it more exposure.
